2019 Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc

Years ago I was working for a different wine store than I am at now, I had many opportunities to drink New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. I had your Kim Crawford, Oysterbay, Whitehaven, Nobile.....the list could go on and on. It was the beginning of the United States embracing big-time the New Zealand/Marlborough SB movement.

So my thoughts on New Zealand was that the SBs from there had very, very high acidity, way too much for my palate. Plus, I found most people drinking them were super annoying and only wanted Marlborough. (insert eye roll here) This was before I was drinking and tasting lots of wine, and years have gone by, and I'm beginning to change my tune on NZSBs, but some of the drinkers of it still annoy me:)

I worked my shift at Waterfront Wine and Spirits this weekend, and my boss left a bottle of the 2019 Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc in the cooler, and like all good employees I tried some so I would be able to talk about the flavors.
